Non-Profit organization providing adult literacy programs and English for foreign language adults.
Cape Fear Literacy Council is opening doors and changing lives by providing adults with free and confidential instruction in reading, writing, spelling, math and communicating in English. Serving 500+ adults in 2012, the Council’s efforts are made possible by hundreds of volunteer tutors and instructors. The student-tutor partnership helps adults improve their literacy skills for their jobs, their children, their neighborhoods and themselves. Being able to read translates into freedom, power, and opportunity. CFLC is an independent non-profit organization, chartered in 1985.
